In April we visited Freebody’s Boatyard at Hurley, one of the longest established and highly regarded yards on the Thames. 17 cars gathered at the Red Lyon for coffee and croissants before travelling down to the boat yard. We then had a most informative and enjoyable tour of the yard’s boat building and restoration facilities by Richard Freebody and his mother.
This was followed by a sit down lunch attended by 33 back at the Red Lyon. A great time was had by all. Classic cars and boats together again, what a way to start the year.
